Kam Ave between Haili and Wainuenue in Downtown Hilo closed, vehicles being re-routed up Haili from Kam Ave.

Emergency crews were called to a fire Sunday afternoon in a business building along Hilo’s oceanfront.
The fire was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday in a woodworking shop in the Moses Building at 100 Kamehameha Ave.
Crews arrived to find the second and third stories to the rear of a three-story building fully involved, as well as the attic area.
One person was reported injured and transported to Hilo Medical Center, but no further details were released.
Losses were estimated at $250,000, with $3.5 million saved, plus numerous surrounding businesses.
Traffic was detoured to Highway 19 and Haili Street while fire crews spent about one hour getting the blaze under control and reopening all roads.
Five engines, three medics and 10 other units responded.
The cause remains under investigation.
