Girls Volleyball: Four BIIF schools in top 8

In a final night of action, Big Island girls volleyball teams scooped up fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth places in the state tournament.

In Division I play, Waiakea was dropped by Kaiser, but still comes home with a fourth place finish.

Kamehameha Schools Hawaii defeated Kahuku to take fifth place in Division I.

In Division II, Hawaii Preparatory Academy fell to Roosevelt and comes home with sixth place.

Also in Division II, Ka‘u was shot down by Waimea, but still managed to earn eighth place.

At the top of the bracket, Kamehameha defeated Punahou, 25-13, 12-25, 25-15, 25-18 Satruday to score its sixth straight Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I Girls Volleyball Championship on Maui.

In the Division II championship on Oahu, Molokai topped University 25-12, 25-10, 25-18 to capture its first girls volleyball title.
