‘Sketches of People and Ice’ at Kealakekua Library (Oct. 20)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Kealakekua Library hosts a program “Sketches of People and Ice” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Canadian story teller Pat Braden spent his youth playing bass in bands in bars. The characters he met, lovable and tragic are the subjects of his stories to which he still plays some bass. Pat’s thoughtful and reverent tales take audiences to the old mining towns, the working people, and the stark beauty of the lands he calls home.

Sponsored by Friends of the Library of Hawaii, this 45-minute program is offered free to the public and is recommended for ages 10 and older.

For more information, call the Kealakekua Public Library at 323-7585.
