UH-Hilo 7th at St. Martin’s Invitational

The University of Hawaii at Hilo men’s golf team finished in seventh place at the St. Martin’s Invitational in Lacey, WA.

Scoring was tight for the Vulcans with only a 5-stroke differential among the squad members. Neil Cabico led the Vulcans with a 217 (72-70-75). One stroke behind were Travis Russell (75-73-70) and Blake Snyder (73-73-72) at 218. At 219 was Chris Armanini (74-71-74). Three strokes back was Corey Kozuma at 222 (69-78-75).

Western Washington’s Xavier Daily won the tournament with a 10-under-par 206 (67-69-70).

Western Washington won the team title with a 831 followed by Chico State (836), British Columbia (849), Seattle (853), St. Martin’s (858), Victoria (859), UH Hilo (866), Concordia-Blue (867), Whitworth (878), Dixie State (879), Simon Fraser (896), Northwest Nazarene (901), Northwest Christian (908), Academy of Art (909), Pacific Lutheran (910), Montana State Billings (923) and Puget Sound (943).
