Police warn about Waikoloa Village vehicle break-ins

The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in obtaining information on a recent rash of vehicle break-ins in the Waikoloa Village area. Unknown suspect(s) have been targeting vehicles possibly during the late evening or early morning hours. Police also wish to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked and to not leave anything valuable inside their vehicles while they are unattended.

Anyone with information regarding the incidents is asked to call Community Police Officer Paul Bugado at the South Kohala Station at 808-887-3080. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo, or 808-329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
