Got an opinion on a proposal to change some of the conservation rules administered by the Department of Land and Natural Resources? This week is your chance to share it.

Some of the changes are intended to clarify rules and procedures, which met with opposition from residents during a first round of meetings.

The Big Island meetings this round are:

* Monday, Aug. 9, Mayor’s Conference Room, 75-5706 Kuakini Hwy, Room 103

* Tuesday, Aug. 10, Hilo, State Office Building, 75 Aupuni St., Conference Room C

Both meetings begin at 6 p.m. and will last no longer than 2 hours.
