Only local provider offering free access to thousands of live sporting events

HONOLULU – Hawaiian Telcom broadband internet customers can now enjoy free access to ESPN3.com and the world of live sports that it delivers on demand.

“We are excited to be the first and only provider of ESPN3.com in Hawaii,” said Brad Fisher, Hawaiian Telcom Senior VP – Strategy and Marketing. “It’s a wonderful enhancement to our High Speed Internet service and provides a terrific way for us to thank our customers for their loyalty as well as attract new ones.”

ESPN3.com offers thousands of live sporting events online each year. A majority of the events are exclusive to the channel, while others are broadband-enhanced versions of games from one of ESPN’s TV networks. ESPN3.com content is also archived for later, on-demand viewing.

“ESPN3’s Remote Access feature allows our customers to access events from anywhere in the U.S. at anytime,” added Fisher.

Hawaiian Telcom broadband customers now enjoy on-demand access to over 1,400 NCAA Division I football and basketball games, exclusive college football and basketball games, more than 165 NBA and MLB games, over 2,200 hours of tennis including all four Grand Slams, and PGA golf events. Customers can watch games simultaneously, access real-time stats and scoreboards, pause, rewind and fast forward best in-game and event moments and more.

ESPN3.com is available nationwide only through participating high speed internet service providers. Hawaiian Telcom is proud to be the only local provider included among that select group.
