Lawmakers explain how state budget was balanced (June 16, June 21)

WHAT: The House of Representatives Finance Committee will make a presentation to the community on the 2010 state budget bill and how they resolved a $1.2 billion shortfall. Information will also be provided on major capital improvement projects for East Hawaii.

WHERE: UH Hilo UCB 127 (Hooulu Terrace)

WHO: House Finance Chair Rep. Marcus Oshiro will be joined by Rep. Jerry Chang, Rep. Clift Tsuji, Rep. Faye Hanohano, and Rep. Robert Herkes.

WHAT: The House of Representatives Finance Committee will make a presentation to the community on the 2010 state budget bill and how they resolved a $1.2 billion shortfall. Information will also be provided on how the legislature reduced spending, budget priorities, and major capital improvement projects for West Hawaii.
