Na Leo Manu concert at Kilauea Visitor Center (June 16)

Come and enjoy an evening of Hawaiian music and dance with Kumu Meleana Manuel and Halau Ke Olu Makani O Mauna Loa.

The performance is 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16 at the Kilauea Visitor Center in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The halau from Volcano Village celebrates its 20th year in 2010. Through
song and dance, with confidence and respect, the halau seeks to perpetuate Hawaiian culture, history and protocol.

Meleana Manuel studied under the late Kumu Hula George Naope. Her halau participate in hula festivals and competitions throughout Hawaii, the mainland, and Japan.

Na Leo Manu (heavenly voices) is an evening concert series of Hawaiian music sponsored by Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the Hawaii Natural History Association. Park entrance fees apply.
