Kenoi to speak at Kona Town Meeting (May 11)

Mayor Billy Kenoi will lead a panel of speakers discussing the County budget and proposed charter amendments at the Kona Town Meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Makaeo Pavilion, Old Kona Airport.

Also appearing will be District 9 Councilman Pete Hoffmann, Charter Commission Chairman Ed Haitsuka, and Mike Reimer, consultant, Science and Policy Group. Questions will be taken from the audience.

Charter Amendments and County Budget

What are the Charter Amendments which voters will consider in November?

How is Mayor Kenoi proposing to balance the Hawaii County Budget for 2010 – 2011?

Guest speakers will be Mayor Billy Kenoi, Charter Commission Chairman Ed Haitsuka, Councilman Pete Hoffmann and Geologist Mike Reimer.

The Kona Town Meeting Tuesday, May 11, will start at 6 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. at Makaeo Events Pavilion, Old Kona Airport Park.

Kona Town Meetings are presented by Community Enterprises, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, to provide vital information on community concerns to Kona citizens. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Fred Housel at 331-8602.
