Krebs named Fairmont Orchid’s director of food & beverage

General Manager Ian Pullan has announced the appointment of Markus Krebs to the position of Director of Food and Beverage for The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii.

Krebs joins the hotel from Raffles L’Ermitage Beverly Hills where he held the position of Director of Food and Beverage. At the Raffles L’Ermitage, Krebs was responsible for the Food and Beverage operation for the Forbes Five Star hotel, including the AAA Four Diamond awarded Jaan restaurant.

A graduate of Hotelfachschule Eckert Hotel School in Germany, Krebs also held the positions of Director of Food and Beverage at InterContinental Los Angeles and Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. Krebs’ background also includes stints at the Hilton San Francisco and The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

In his new role he will oversee the operations of the Food and Beverage division which includes the resort’s signature oceanfront restaurant Brown’s Beach House, Norio’s Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Hale Kai Restaurant, Luana Lounge, Kahakai Bar, Brown’s Deli and In Room Dining.

Originally from Germany, Krebs has spent the last 15 years in California and developed a love for Pinot Noir and Cabernet Blends from boutique wineries.

An avid waterman, Krebs is looking forward to spending his free time snorkeling and swimming in the warm Hawaiian waters with his wife Bettina.

  1. Great property…especially for families traveling with small children. The beach directly in front of the resort is amazing. I highly recommend it to all my guests.
