Hilo fans had a real treat at the Haili Volleyball Tournament Thursday. The Rusty Wahine team, comprised of former Rainbow Wahine team members, came to defend its AA Division title.

The team is comprised of some notable players such as Raceene Woolford, Tara Hittle, Jennifer Carey, and Kanoe Kamana’o, just to name a few.

The Hilo Vulcans were also playing in the tournament along with new head coach Tino Reyes. Friday (March 26) should be even more exiting when the current Rainbow Wahine team rolls into town.

So if you are wondering what to do during the Prince Kuhio Holiday, drop by the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium and go watch some exiting volleyball games with the Rainbow Wahine playing at 11:20 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Friday (March 26).

When does the tournament ends? Is there a possibility that the Rainbow Wahine’s or the Rusty Wahine’s will be playing on Sat. 10/27/10.

  2. Karin says:

    Kazu,
Yes, it is possible those teams will be playing Saturday … depending on Friday’s results. Check the tournament Web site for the schedule and brackets.
