ReefTalk: Grouper roi and humpback whales (March 23)

When: 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, March 23 at the Natural Energy Lab Gateway Building, Kona

DOUBLE HEADER WITH OUTSTANDING SPEAKERS!

ReefTalk on Tuesday, March 23, at the Natural Energy Lab Gateway Building in Kona at 6:30 p.m. will feature two speakers.

Dr. Bill Walsh, affiliated faculty with UH Hilo and Manoa and Justin Viezbicke of The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.

Walsh will provide the history, biology and ecology of the introduced grouper Roi, the “Ultimate Predator on Hawaii’s Island’s Reefs.” Viezbicke will report on a wildly busy year of disentangling monk seals and whales.
