Public meeting on hospital, healthcare needs in East Hawaii (Jan. 23)

The board of directors of the East Hawaii Region of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation will hold a public input meeting 3:30-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 in Ka’u Hospital’s activities room at 1 Kamani Street Pahala.

The community is invited to share thoughts and ideas about its hospital and future healthcare needs in East Hawaii. Hospitals in the region include Hilo Medical Center, Ka’u Hospital and Hale Hoola Hamakua in Honokaa and account for more than 1,100 employees and more than 200 physicians.
