National Women’s Hall of Fame seeks nominations for 2011 induction

SENECA FALLS, NY, January 19, 2010 – Would you like to recognize an outstanding American woman who has made significant contributions of national or global importance? Honor her achievements by nominating her for potential induction into the National Women’s Hall of Fame. The Hall is currently seeking nominations for consideration of its 2011 Induction cycle. The nomination deadline is February 1, 2010. Nominate a woman in the arts, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, philanthropy or sciences. Nominees may be contemporary or historical and must be citizens of the United States.

Completed nominations are sent on to a National Judges Panel for scoring on the basis of the value of the nominee’s contribution(s) to the development of the United States of America, the significant national or global impact of their achievement(s), and the enduring value of their achievement(s). The 2011 class of Inductees will be announced in March of 2011 and inducted in October of 2011. An Induction Ceremony takes place every two years with the Hall receiving more than 200 nominations each cycle.

To submit a nomination, visit www.greatwomen.org or call the Hall at 315.568.8060 to request an official copy of the nomination form. Complete all sections of the form and submit it to the Hall electronically or via mail at National Women’s Hall of Fame, PO Box 335, Seneca Falls, NY 13148. There is no fee associated with the nomination process.
