Special holiday hours for libraries

MEDIA RELEASE

Eleven public libraries in Hawaii will be open on a day that they are normally closed around the Christmas and New Year’s holiday weekends. These libraries will be closed on Saturday (December 26 and January 2, 2010) for the two holiday weekends.

The special hours are for Monday, December 21 and Monday, December 28 at the following public libraries:

Aina Haina, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Waialua, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Waikiki-Kapahulu, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Hilo (Big Island), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Kailua-Kona (Big Island), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thelma Parker (Big Island), 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Hanapepe (Kauai), 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Princeville (Kauai), 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Kahului (Maui), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Kihei (Maui), 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Lahaina (Maui), 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
