KOC tours school gardens (Dec. 12)

MEDIA RELEASE

“Come see School Gardens” at Innovations and Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino

Carpool meets 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12 at Kona Outdoor Circle

Part of the Kona Outdoor Circle’s contribution to the community is directly supporting local school gardens. For the first time ever KOC students have a chance to get a guided tour of some of these gardens.

At Innovations School we will see the student’s experiments with fruits, vegetables, butterfly gardens, guild cropping, and more.

The tour ends at the Hawaiian Immersion school Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino, where the gardens embody the native cultural heritage of Hawaiian gardening.

Individual classes  – $30 members / $45 non members
