THE RED FLAG WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM HST THURSDAY.

GUSTY TRADE WINDS ALONG WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE DRY…MAINLY LEEWARD LOCATIONS THROUGH THE REST OF TODAY AND AGAIN THURSDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW…OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS…LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY…AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE RAPID FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL. A RED FLAG WARNING DOES NOT PRECIT NEW FIRE STARTS.
