Vanilla cultivation program Sept. 15 at Kona library

Join Jim Reddekopp Founder of the Hawaiian Vanilla Co. for an evening of vanilla 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Kailua-Kona Public Library. 

Reddekopp will share in depth about the cultivation of vanilla at his vanillery and other plantations worldwide. 

Reddekopp and wife Tracy are the first commercial growers of vanilla in the United States. He will take you inside the vanilla world to discover production, cultivation and the value added production of vanilla.  

Bring your questions and your imagination and learn how a family dream turned into reality.

Friends of the Libraries, Kona (FOLK) sponsors programs for the benefit of the Kona community.  This program is offered free to the public.
