Hawaiian, Korean Air code share service begins today

MEDIA RELEASE

HONOLULU – Sept. 01, 2009 – The expanded code sharing agreement between Hawaiian Airlines and Korean Airlines began today, offering customers of both carriers increased convenience on nonstop service between Hawaii and Korea.

Hawaiian’s “HA” booking code is now listed on flights operated by Korean between Incheon, South Korea and Honolulu, as well as on flights between Incheon and Busan in Korea. Customers can book these flights via the website at HawaiianAirlines.com, by calling Hawaiian’s reservations department toll-free at (800) 367-5320, or through any professional travel agent.

Hawaiian’s code sharing operations will be expanded in the near future to include flights by Korean serving destinations in Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The two carriers began their code sharing relationship in 2007, which allowed Korean to put its “KE” booking code on Hawaiian’s flights serving the islands of Hawaii and between Hawaii and the mainland U.S.
