Small Business Association recovery week events in Hilo and Waimea

MEDIA RELEASE

SBA Recovery Week Connects Small Businesses with Financial Resources
Lenders Join SBA to Assist Prospective Borrowers across the State

If you are one of the many small business owners across the state looking for solutions to problems created by the economic crisis and tight credit markets, the upcoming “SBA Recovery Connections“ event is worthy of your time and attention. SBA is presenting “one stop shops” to introduce small businesses to a variety of financing programs available through local and mainland lenders, including many that have been enhanced by the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

The Hawaii District Office staff will coordinate the confidential sessions with lenders and prospective borrowers based on their business needs, address eligibility and other issues regarding loan applications. Small business owners can best prepare for their meeting by reviewing their latest financial information, having a copy of your government issued identification, your business license, business bank account, and current credit score for all owners with an interest of 20% or more. Events are planned for the County of Hawaii on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, August 11, 2009
Hilo Community College
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday, August 12, 2009
Waimea Center
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Limited appointments are available and advance registration is required. Get detailed information and schedule your meetings by calling the Hawaii District Office at (808) 541-2990. Registration is also available at www.sba.gov/hi
