MEDIA RELEASE

Fair Wind, Big Island Ocean Guides received the Pualu Visitor Industry Marketing Award at the Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce Community Service and Business Leadership ceremonies.

The Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce has recognized leaders in the business and marketing community for the last 29 years with the Pualu Community Service and Business Leadership Awards.

“It is an honor to be recognized by our business community. In these challenging times, this award holds special meaning for us. Our dedicated staff has really gone that extra mile and recognition of this commitment is wonderful,” said Mendy Dant, Fair Wind, Big Island Ocean Guides owner.

Fair Wind’s leadership was acknowledged for its environmental contributions and services including hiring and training local workers, preservation of natural areas, offering an authentic experience and creating environmental awareness for visitors and residents, specifically addressing coral reefs.

Despite major declines in tourism, Fair Wind deployed creative marketing tactics to secure extensive television and magazine editorial coverage and boosted their online audience with a web re- launch.

Fair Wind, Big Island Ocean Guides offer exclusive snorkeling and scuba diving tours to exciting locations along the beautiful Kona Coast. Fair Wind’s tradition of excellence and aloha has earned a well-deserved reputation as the first choice among residents and visitors for ocean adventure fun. Fair Wind is ranked the No. 1 activity in Kailua-Kona by Trip Advisor.
