Two sessions are scheduled for the 2009 University of Hawaii at Hilo volleyball schools in the UHH gymnasium.

The 3-day camp will run from Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, July 8. The morning session is for boys and girls grades 2-6 and goes from 9 a.m. – noon. The afternoon session, 3-6 p.m., is for girls grades 7-12.

“These are skills camps designed to help prepare the athletes to move up to a higher level of competition,” Camp Director and UHH Volleyball Head Coach Bruce Atkinson said. “There will be an emphasis on further development of fundamental skills with specialized instruction in attacking, setting, and defense within the team concept.”

Players will be tested and grouped with those of similar abilities while instruction will be provided by the Vulcan coaching staff and players.
