Makua Lani Christian Academy graduates 24

Makua Lani Christian Academy, which is just about as old as thie year’s graduates, handed high school diplomas to 24 students Saturday evening (May 30) at the University of the Nations in Kona.

The school opened in 1992, while most of the graduates were born in 1990 and 1991. A handful began their academic careers as Makua Lani kindergarteners, said school administrator Thaddea Pitts.

“This group is going on the either college or disciple traning school,” she said. “These kids are movers and shakers.”

Tamica Gaspar was the Class of 2009 valedictorian.
