Keoni Manago picks up second NCAA DII all-region honor

Post-season accolades continue for Keoni Manago as the University of Hawaii at Hilo sophomore outfielder picked up second-team National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II all-West Region honors.

Manago was earlier announced as a first-team 2009 NCAA ABCA/Rawlings West Region selection as voted upon by the West Region coaches.

Manago, who also was named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Year and an All-PacWest First Team selection, ranked second in the league in hitting with a .435 average. He is fifth in slugging percentage (.619), second in on-base average (.500), and third in total base hits (64).He leads the league in doubles with 15 and is tied for third in stolen bases with a dozen, going 12 for 12 this season.
