Mayor, cabinet will be at Kona Town Meeting

Mayor Billy Kenoi and cabinet members will discuss Hawaii Island’s critical issues, including the current economy and budget shortfall, West Hawaii’s roads and traffic, future growth management in West Hawaii and the plans for recreation facilities in Kona such as the old Kona Airport Park, at a town meeting, 6-8 p.m., April 14, at Makaeo Events Pavilion at old Kona Airport Park.

Mayor Kenoi, Director of Public Works Warren Lee, Director of Parks and Recreation Bob Fitzgerald, Planning Director Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd and Deputy Managing Director Wally Lau are expected to attend.

Members of the community should bring their questions and concerns about West Hawaii’s present and future quality of life.

Kona Town Meetings are presented by Community Enterprises, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, to provide vital information on community concerns to Kona citizens. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call Fred Housel, 331-8602.
