UH-Hilo men’s golf team 12th place in California golf tourney

The University of Hawaii at Hilo men’s golf team finished in 12th place at the Third Annual Notre Dame de Namur University Invitational in Belmont, Calif.

Zady Ari (79-74-81) and Jesus Valdivia (81-73-80) were tied for 46^th place at 234 to lead the Vulcans. Logan Goulding was tied for 53^rd place at 237 (76-78-83). Rodolfo Estrada was in 63^rd place (86-78-77=241) while Stephen Zane was tied for 64^th place (77-81-84=242).

Chico State won the tournament with a 16-over-par, 880. They were followed by Cal State Monterey Bay (894), North Alabama (895), Holy Names, Sonoma State and Cal State Stanislaus (896), Western New Mexico (902), Cal State East Bay (906), Dixie State (911), St. Martin’s and Academy of Art (935), Hawaii Hilo (937), Lincoln (940), Notre Dame de Namur (943) and Incarnate Word (946).
