Pahoa won its game Wednesday night  against University 48-45 and advances to the quarterfinals of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association state boys basketball tournament in Honolulu. The Daggers will play fourth seed Molokai, 5 p.m.  Thursday at Farrington High School.

The Kohala Cowboys are seeded second in the tournament and their first game is in the quarterfinals against Roosevelt who won its game Wednesday against Hanalani. The Cowboys play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Kalani High School.
