MEDIA RELEASE

Beer lovers, it’s time to don your running shoes once again!  The 14th annual Kona Brewers Festival will give folks a chance to burn some calories before imbibing quality ales and lagers with the “Run for Hops” 5K and 10K Run/Walk Saturday, March 14 starting at 7:30 a.m. from the Kona Brewing Company.

Presented by Bike Works, the event is a benefit for PATH – Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii, a 23-year old organization that strives to safely connect the people and places on Hawaii Island with pathways and bikeways.  Entry fee is $25, with a $10 late fee after March 12, and includes a Run for Hops T-Shirt, post run refreshments, awards ceremony and beer tasting.

Entry forms are available at the Kona Brewing Company, Bike Works or online at www.konabrewersfestival.com.

The run is made possible by Bike Works and the Kona Brewing Company and supported by Festival sponsors First Hawaiian Bank, The Gas Company and Puna Geothermal Venture.
