UH-Hilo beat BYU-Hawaii in men’s tennis, women post a loss

The University of Hawaii at Hilo men’s tennis team upset 27th ranked Brigham Young University-Hawaii 5-1 on the UHH Tennis Courts to record their first victory over their intra-state rival.

Kevin Tamura/Laurent Colombo (UHH) defeated Agnel Peter/Rong Ma (BYUH) 9-8
Luiz Gonzaga/Stephen Royalty (UHH) defeated Joseph Beck/Romeo Juhasz (BYUH) 8-5
Aaron Tada/Justin Dugan (UHH) defeated Carlton Taylor/Manu Bajpai (BYUH) 8-3

Singles:
Ma (BYUH) defeated Colombo (UHH) 6-2, 6-2
Tamura (UHH) defeated Peter (BYUH) 6-4, 7-6
Gonzaga (UHH) defeated Bajpai (BYUH) 6-4, 1-6, 6-4

The University of Hawaii at Hilo women’s tennis team fell 7-0 to 2nd-ranked Brigham Young University-Hawaii on the UHH Tennis Courts.
