North Hawaii Community Hospital open house

MEDIA RELEASE

nhch-logoWaimea, Hawaii (February 24, 2009)–The Big Island community is invited to an informal and informative Open House and state-of-the-hospital update on Wednesday, March 4, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at North Hawaii Community Hospital (NHCH).

The free event begins with an open house at 6:00 p.m., followed by coffee and desserts at 7:00 p.m. in the Café and Mauna Loa/Mauna Kea Rooms. Attendees will have a chance to meet and talk story with new CEO John White, physicians and hospital staff, and hear the latest news from President of the NHCH Board of Directors Bob Momsen.

“We welcome the opportunity to introduce our new doctors along with present physicians and staff, and to spend time with the people we serve,” says Bob Momsen. “So often we only see you when you or a loved one needs care. The Open House is a way we can share our fine hospital in a different light, and let you see firsthand how much we have to offer towards keeping the Big Island healthy.”

North Hawaii Community Hospital is a 39-bed, full-service, acute-care medical center located in Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii. NHCH was rated as the number one hospital in Hawaii and among the top 10% nationwide in the 2007 Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey, and ranked among the top 5% of United States hospitals that patients would recommend. The community-owned, non-profit hospital opened in May 1996. It is managed by Quorum Health Resources, and serves the residents and visitors of Hawaii’s Big Island.
