FOLK hosting Gemini Observatory speaker

MEDIA RELEASE

On Tuesday, March 10 at 5:45 p.m., Andolie Marten from the Public Information and Education Outreach Department of the Gemini Observatory will be presenting a program at the Kailua-Kona Public Library.

The Gemini Observatory, with twin telescopes located on Mauna Kea and in Chile, has discovered wondrous new insights into our universe and wishes to share their inspirations with everyone.

Marten will bring the Star Lab, a mobile planetarium to simulate the night sky and allow a tour through the constellations. The tour will start at 5:45 p.m. and about 40 people may attend this 45 minute presentation for all ages.

Sponsored by Friends of the Libraries, Kona, a non-profit organization, this program is offered as a community service. The public is welcome but seating is limited to first arrivals.
