Traffic accident halts traffic in Kaloko

Traffic was held up for a hour Sunday evening along Mamalahoa Highway near Hina Lani Street after a two-vehicle accident that left a SUV upside down in the center of the road.

The crash just north of the traffic signal at Hina Lani Street also ripped the driver’s side front tire from the other car.

The two drivers and one passenger appeared to have only minor injuries and authorities cleared the road by shortly after 8 p.m.
