The county Department of Public Works is installing four speed humps in Waimea. Two on Laelae and two on Konokohau. Work is scheduled to begin Jan. 28 and end Feb. 4.

Crews will close one road at a time only during construction, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Friday. Residents living on LaeLae and Konokohau are asked to enter the subdivision via Kawaihae Road or Opelo Road during the road closures.

Also, an improvement to the sidewalk in front of Livingston Realty at Aloha Theater, and the adjacent vacant lot is expected to be completed Friday, Jan 23.

The removal of the diagonal parking in front of Oshima’s begins the week of Jan. 26.
