Traffic northbound along Highway 19 at Kaawalii Gulch is backed-up as vehicles, debris, oil and emergency crews took up both lanes.
Motorists headed north on Highway 19 look across Kaawalii Gulch from the Hilo side to an accident which closed both lanes of traffic.
The accident area was spread across both lanes of traffic which closed Highway 19.
