The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a wind advisory for all Hawaiian Islands until 6 a.m. Monday (Sept 28). Winds generated by Tropical Storm Niala and a high pressure area north of the state will produce gusty and locally windy conditions across all island through tonight.

Rainfall amounts of 2-8 inches are forecast with isolated maximum amounts up to 12 inches on Hawaii Island this weekend.

Tropical storm force winds extend up to 80 miles (130 km) from the center. The center of Niala will pass about 100-150 miles south of Hawaii Island later Sunday.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a flash flood watch for Hawaii Island from Friday evening (Sept 25) through Monday (Sept 28). A surge of deep tropical moisture north of Tropical Storm Niala will approach Hawaii Island by tonight and remain in place through the weekend.
