Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy from Kawaihae Harbor to Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA), April 27-30. The scheduled convoy times are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Convoys will use the Akoni Pule Corridor, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Waikoloa Road, Mamalahoa Highway, and Daniel K. Inouye Highway. In conjunction with the 54th Annual Merrie Monarch Festival, there will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kalanikoa Street in Hilo.

Traffic will be allowed to flow in the makai, or northerly direction on Kalanikoa Street between Piʻilani Street and Kuawa Street during the festival. The one-way traffic pattern will remain in effect 24-hours beginning at  12 p.m. (noon) Wednesday, April 19, through 8 a.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017.

Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy from Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to Kawaihae Harbor, Feb. 13. The scheduled convoy times are from 2 a.m.-5 a.m. Convoys will use the Daniel K. Inouye Highway, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, and Akoni Pule Corridor. Military elements will escort the convoys.
