The University of Hawaii at Hilo Athletics All-Sports Pass is back and goes on sales on Monday, August 16 at the UHH Athletic Ticket Office.

The $200 general admission pass includes 13 baseball dates, 15 men’s basketball games, 10 women’s basketball games, six men’s soccer games, seven women’s soccer games,  six softball doubleheaders and 12 volleyball dates.

The Hawai'i Island Police Activities League (HI-PAL) in collaboration with the County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an agility and conditioning training program for youths who wish to enhance their performance in various athletic events.

The program will run from June 9 through June 29 at the Civil Auditorium in Hilo. Participants will be divided into two age categories: 9-12 and 13-18. Incoming high school freshmen with an interest in fall high school sports are encouraged to attend.

Lt. Governor James R. “Duke” Aiona, Jr. today announced he is proposing legislation to establish a Hawai‘i Sports Commission that would enhance the state’s potential to become a worldwide leader in sports and sporting events. 

The 13-member commission would be given the full-time responsibility to attract, develop and promote sports and sporting events throughout the state and generate revenues for Hawai‘i’s economy.
