In addition to the 18 incidents reported in the November 2010 recall, which included four reports of fires with minor property damage, Haier America and CPSC have received 27 additional incident reports. This includes three fires that caused substantial property damage. There have been no reports of injuries.

This recall involves all Aqua Lung buoyancy compensators with SureLock II rubber handles attached to weight pockets. Aqua Lung is aware of 236 reports of handles detaching from the weight pockets. There are no reported injuries.

Lighting Science Group is aware of 68 incidents of product failures, eight of which were accompanied by visible smoke or fire conditions. The incidents include damage to light sockets, melted fixtures, burned rugs/carpet/ floors, damage to a circuit and to a lamp. There have been no reports of personal injuries.

Today, ConAgra Foods, Omaha, Neb., is voluntarily initiating a product recall for specific lots of its 8 ounce Hunt’s Tomato Sauce (regular variety) and Hunt’s Tomato Sauce No Salt Added that were packaged in cans containing a defect in the inner lining. Although there is no food safety concern associated with the product, the can defect may cause the can to swell and the product to spurt out when opened. ConAgra Foods is advising consumers who have purchased either of these from Best By dates shown to call 866-511-7752 to ask any questions, or to arrange for replacement.

A weld on the ATV’s front right and left upper suspension arms can separate, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, posing a crash hazard. Honda is aware of 10 incidents of suspension arm weld failures, including one in which a rider suffered a sprained wrist.
