Utah hikers rescued from Pololu Valley area after being stranded by high tide

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 12:58 p.m. alarm Tuesday (Dec 4) to Pololu Valley for hikers stranded on the shoreline. Two hikers, a 21-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man from Utah, had gotten stranded on the rocky shoreline between Pololu and Honokane Valleys when the rising tide cut-off their path out.

Thieves steal bags out of Jeep at Pololu Valley parking lot

Hawaiʻi Island police are asking the public for help with identifying the parties who entered a red Jeep Wrangler license plate #ZFH-751 while it was parked at the Pololu Valley parking lot on (June 26) possibly between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 1:14 p.m. alarm Friday (Oct 28) to Pololu Valley Beach for a man who nearly drowned.

The 59 year-old man found himself in trouble while in the ocean due to his unfamiliarity with the beach and ocean currents at Pololu Valley beach. The man was pulled from the water by friends and bystanders.
