Hawaiʻi Island police have located a missing 2-year-old Lanaʻi boy, who was in the company of his non-custodial father and grandmother in Puna.
Detectives from the Area I Juvenile Aid Section found all three Tuesday afternoon at a home on Pomaikai Street in the Leilani Estates subdivision.

Landowner Castle & Cook has filed a transfer application with the Public Utilities Commission. Castle & Cook owns 98 percent of the island’s 141 square miles. The buyer is Lawrence Ellison, co-founder and chief executive officer of Oracle Corporation.

A minor earthquake occurred at 2:12:45 PM (HST) on Thursday, February 24, 2011. The temblor was felt and widely reported by people on Oahu and on Molokai.
The earthquake was originally reported by the USGS to have an center of the quake south of Lanai but was revised with the epicenter in the Kaiwi Channel between Oahu and Molokai.
