An estimated 1,800 runners of all ages and abilities will be competing for prize money, participating for health and enjoyment, and raising money for charity.
Start and Finish at the Keauhou Beach Resort just south of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The Kona Marathon is a Boston qualifier.

Kona Community Hospital’s fourth annual Ladies Night Out event is scheduled for Friday, June 3, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa. This year’s theme is “Take an Adventure with Us.”
All ladies are invited to attend this free community event. It is a local opportunity for the women of West Hawaii to spend an evening taking care of themselves in a fun and social way.

The Daughters of Hawaii and the Royal Order of Kamehameha held a special tribute to Kalani Kauikeaouli, King Kamehameha III, at his birthsite at Keauhou Bay. The celebration continues Friday and Saturday in Keauhou.
