Transfer Stations and Greenwaste sites sees temporary closures this week

The Keauhou Transfer Station closed at 8 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2019. It should reopen as regularly scheduled Tuesday, October 1, 2019, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Until 6 p.m. today, the public can take their residential waste to the Kealakehe Transfer Station, which is open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic signal installation at Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kealakehe intersection

MEDIA RELEASE A traffic signal to replace the four-way stop will be installed at the Ane Keohokālole Highway and Kealakehe intersection. Construction starts May 20 and is scheduled for completion Sept. 17. One-lane closures will remain in effect weekdays (excluding Memorial Day) between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
