Vehicle height restriction for Hilo Airport parking lot beginning Monday (April 8)

Any vehicles that are 9’-6” or more in height that are currently parked within the parking lot will need to be removed from the lot by 10 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019.

The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT), Airports Division will begin resurfacing work and improvements at the Hilo International Airport Main Parking Lot, on Monday, March 5, 2018, through Friday, March 9, 2018, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily. Airport traffic over Hilo and Keaukaha will increase due to runway maintenance

The Hawaii Department of Transportation advises Hilo and Keaukaha residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work at the Hilo International Airport. Runway 8-26 will be closed nightly for airfield maintenance on Monday, Sept. 14 through Friday, Sept. 18, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
