The County of Hawai‘i’s Council has confirmed Allan G. Simeon, P.E. as the Director of the Department of Public Works on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Simeon, previously served as the Department’s Deputy Director, has served as the Acting Director of the Department of Public Works since October 1, 2017.

Traffic signal installation on Henry Street in Kailua-Kona starting Thursday (Dec 1)

The Department of Public Works Traffic Division will be working on the new traffic signals at the Henry St. and Alahou St. intersection beginning on Thursday, December 1st and ending on Thursday, December 15th. Daily work hours are from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather conditions permitting. There will be no work on the weekend.
