To accommodate large volumes of rubbish normally disposed of on the day after Christmas and New Year’s, all County of Hawai‘i solid waste recycling and transfer stations will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 26 and Saturday, January 2.
These special hours will apply to these two days only, and normal Saturday hours will resume on Saturday, January 9, 2010. All other solid waste rules and regulations apply.

Second and third grade students at Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA) will welcome the holiday season with their presentation of The Twelve Days of Christmas, at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, December 4. The musical performance, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Gates Performing Arts Center on the school’s Upper Campus.
