Canon recalls 14,000 PowerShot SX50 HS digital cameras

A chemical used in the rubber part of the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS viewfinders can cause skin or eye irritation or an allergic reaction to the user. About 14,000 units are recalled. Canon has received one report of itching and two reports of eye redness and pain.

About 500 Canon WFT-E7A Wireless File Transmitters are recalled. A chemical used in the rubber part on the top cover of the product can result in a reaction that changes the rubber from black to white and poses a risk of skin irritation to the consumer.
