Big Island police are investigating a burglary in Puna that took place in November.
At about 2:25 p.m. on November 25, Puna patrol officers responded to a reported burglary on 26th Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision. They determined that between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., a 72-year-old woman was confronted by five men while outside her house.

Police are asking for the community’s help in locating 28-year-old Justin E. Fergerstrom, who was last known to reside in Hilo. He is wanted in connection with burglary investigation and an unrelated bench warrant.

Big Island police are searching for a 24-year-old Puna man wanted in connection with a burglary investigation.
Turner Kaimana Au is described as 5-foot-10, 180 pounds with short blond or brown hair and green eyes. His last known address was in Kurtistown.
Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Detective John Rodrigues Jr. at 961-2382 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Big Island police have charged a Kealakekua man with eight offenses in connection with three burglaries in West Hawaiʻi. Detectives charged Watai with criminal property damage, three counts of second-degree burglary and four counts of second-degree theft.

Hawaiʻi County police are asking for information about a burglary and attempted arson in Puna. The crimes occurred at a home on Ohia Street in the Eden Roc subdivision sometime between Saturday (October 22) and Sunday (October 23).
Investigation revealed that one or more unknown suspects pried open the front door, took electronic items from inside and then attempted to burn the house. The structure sustained damage to the front stair. A vehicle in the garage also was damaged.

A black Honda 110 cc dirt bike and a Suzuki 50 cc quad all-terrain vehicle were stolen from a home on Kaiwiki Road on February 13.

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a burglary investigation.
The woman being sought is Christina Ingle, who is described as Caucasian, approximately 30 years old, 5-foot-10 and thin with curly brown hair and brown eyes. Her last known address was in the Hāmākua area.

On Wednesday (March 24), detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section charged Jesse Iolani Auhana Akina of Kea’au with one count of first-degree theft, two counts of second-degree theft, two counts of first-degree burglary, and ownership/possession of firearms prohibited. His bail was set at $105,000.

Big Island police have located two of the three men being sought in connection with a Puna assault and burglary investigation.
Twenty-five-year-old Johnny Leialoha of Kea’au and 22-year-old Jobe Leialoha of Nanawale turned themselves in at the South Hilo police station and were arrested at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday. Both men were released at 4 p.m. pending further investigation.

Big Island police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspected burglar caught on video surveillance during a burglary that occurred at a Hilo business.
On December 23, 2010 at about 6:49 a.m., South Hilo Patrol officers responded to a burglary at a business on the corner of Leilani Street and Kanoelehua Avenue in which merchandise was stolen.

Big Island police are requesting the public’s help in identifying two suspects caught on video surveillance in a Hilo burglary reported on December 15, 2010.
Detectives are investigating the burglary that occurred at Lagoon Center in Hilo in which electronic equipment and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was reportedly taken.
