DLNR creates new website for Hunter Education Program

Since 1979, more than 68,000 students have received their certifications through the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Hunter Education Program. Annually, more than 2,000 students register and attend Hunter Education classes across the state. This experience is now about to get just a little easier for the public.

Hunting at PTA closed through May due to military training

Hunting will be closed, here, through the end of May due to military training. Army officials anticipate resuming hunting June 4, pending training area availability. The Army typically opens PTA for hunting most weekends; however, hunting opportunities here are subject to service members’ training needs and schedules, which take priority.
