The County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation has temporarily closed Hilo’s Walter C.K. Victor Baseball Complex to perform annual maintenance work.
Following a busy summer season that saw the return of professional baseball to Hilo, the three ball fields are receiving new sod and being manicured in preparation for the 2012 Poi Pounder Baseball Tournament to be held in November.

Mayor Billy Kenoi will join friends, family and supporters at Hilo airport Sunday evening to greet the World Champion Hilo All-Stars team as they return after their victory in Bangor, Maine.
